The LCVP is designed to expand and strengthen the vocational dimension of the Leaving Certificate by giving students the opportunity to take ownership of their own Student Induction – some items for discussion learning. Independent thinking, improved communication and teamwork are greatly enhanced by activity-based learning. The teacher acts as facilitator and advisor to the students – the relationship between student and teacher is Student Induction – some items for discussion therefore of great importance and the programme offers a challenge to both.


This challenge will greatly benefit from a period of “induction” where the elements and requirements of the programme are laid Student Induction – some items for discussion out clearly and students and teachers make a positive start.

Other Student Induction – some items for discussion Resources in this pack include a plan for a one day induction of students and a sample letter to parents if the LCVP Co-ordinator/teacher decides to take the students Student Induction – some items for discussion out of the school environment for induction.


The LCVP Student Induction Resource Pack can be used in conjunction with the LCVP Resource Booklet “Introducing the LCVP”.


The “Introducing the LCVP” resource was printed Student Induction – some items for discussion in 2000. However, due to the introduction of the LCVP Revised Link Modules Syllabus in September 2002, some alterations are required. The following is a list of changes that are required:
